Home > Blog > A Common Pay Per Click Mistake
Google isn't the only search engine out there to send traffic to your websites. It seems that every week there's a handful of smaller search engines that hit the internet.
Some marketers flat out despise Google. Either they don't like all the restrictions, high quality requirements or believe Google charges to much per click.
All those reasons can lead affiliate marketers in search of alternatives. Let me save you the trouble and tell you this:
You will always go back to Google.
They're the biggest and best search engine available. When you try to find success on the internet without using the Google Adwords platform you will run into a very common but costly mistake.
Buying Cheap Clicks On Small Search Engines
There's often a misconception most beginners have when first starting pay per click advertising. "If I get one sale per hundred visits with Google Adwords, imagine how many sales I could get with one thousand clicks."
They will take it one step further though. Paying for one thousand clicks through Adwords takes a big budget which most beginners don't have. So they'll use smaller search engines with cheaper clicks.
Instead of paying fifty cents per click with Google, they'll pay ten cents with another advertising platform.
Although Google has a higher cost per click, the quality of visitors is considerably higher compared to other search engines. So don't make the mistake of assuming all clicks are equal. With search engine marketing, more times than not, you get what you pay for.
And cheap clicks from small search engines often results in low quality traffic. And low quality traffic usually means NO SALES.
