Do You Need To Know How To Build A Website?

It's something a lot of people ask, because they feel they aren't computer experts and have zero programming experience.

First, you don't need to know how to build a website to get started with affiliate marketing. There are so many options today. Maybe ten years ago it would have been impossible to have an internet business without having a programming background.

But the landscape has gone through massive changes in a very short period of time.

Ever heard of blogging? I know, who hasn't right? That word "blog" has changed the game. Because when it became evident that having a web voice would turn into a killer application, the next focus was to make the experience user friendly. Very easy to use. Very easy to get started.

Now you have dozens of ways to start a web business without writing a single line of code. Basically, you use OTHER people's websites to generate income.

Something people are reluctant to accept is that web programming is NOT hard. When you talk to a programmer they're going to use big fancy words, but most of the time they want you to feel confused. Makes them look more important.

There are complicated programming languages, but the most basic -- the one most people use is HTML and it's not complicated at all.

If you can understand this basic concept you can learn HTML programming:

HTML is a language used to format documents so that your internet browser knows how to display the content.

That's all it is. You type words into a text file then use something called TAGS to tell the browser how you want the information displayed. There are a lot of obscure tags that you rarely use, and there's only six or seven that are common to every page.

Unfortunately the fear of programming keeps people from getting started with an internet business. They walk away thinking it's more complicated than it really is.
