Three Tips When Using Google Adsense

Google Adsense can be a great way to supplement your income and bring in a few hundred dollars every month without a great amount of maintenance.

Unless you have an established website with massive amounts of traffic, it's unlikely you'll earn enough to support yourself with Adsense alone, however.

Below are three tips when using Google Adsense.

Blend Your Ads

You don't want to get into the mindset of tricking your visitors into clicking your ads, so that's not the purpose of blending your ad links. The reason people blend, is because after increased exposure to advertisements people will start to tune out the ads.

If it looks like an ad, they kind of block out that section of the page without taking into consideration what the ad is about. Not good for you. If they don't even acknowledge your ads, they won't be interested enough to click for more information.

Blending the text ads so it matches the color scheme of your website will decrease the likelihood of "blocking out" advertisements. It doesn't look like an ad so they'll actually take the time to look at the advertisement and read the text links and descriptions.

Change Your Text Link Locations

Just like people will block out certain color schemes that look like advertisements, they'll soon adjust to any blending you've done after spending a significant amount of time on your site.

Changing the ad block locations will refresh the layout and encourage visitors to scan and review the entire page without creating a mental block of certain areas.

Never Click Your Own Ads

Google is incredibly strict with this. Clicking your own ads constitutes fraud and will subject your account to immediate termination. Every single click has extensive data attached to it.

You can't fool Google, they'll catch on to your patterns eventually. And once you're banned the chances of being reinstated are near zero.
